Weight loss almost always drops blood pressure. The medication doesn't directly lower BP — but the consequence is real.

Expected drop

5–8 mmHg systolic, 3–5 mmHg diastolic, over 6 months at a meaningful weight loss. Enough to reduce or stop some BP medications.

Watch for

If you're on BP meds and weight drops fast, you may become symptomatic (light-headed on standing) — that's the medication overcorrecting. We adjust BP doses down as weight comes off.

Coordinate with us

Don't stop BP medications on your own. We have a structured plan to step them down as your weight loss progresses.
