Every legitimate GLP-1 pen in India passes through CDSCO. Here's what that actually means for what you receive.

What CDSCO does

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation is the national drug regulator. It approves new drugs, inspects manufacturing facilities, issues import licences, and runs post-market surveillance.

Batch testing

Imported GLP-1 medications are sample-tested for potency, sterility, and identity. Pharmacies receiving them carry the batch and lot numbers; you can trace your pen to the import lot.

Pharmacovigilance

Adverse events are reported to the PvPI (Pharmacovigilance Programme of India). If a trend emerges, CDSCO can issue alerts, restrictions, or recalls.

What you don't see but happens

Every legitimate pen that reaches you has passed through multiple regulatory checkpoints. The 'GLP-1 in a vial' from a Telegram seller has bypassed all of them.
